At OHP, we are unique in having a dedicated πΎπππ£π πΏππ¨π and a large number of Chinese clients whom we support on a daily basis. That is precisely why we believe it is so important to stay closely connected with our partners in πΎπππ£π.
On 6 November, Otterspeer, Haasnoot & Partners had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from πΎπππ£πβπ¨ ππππ£ππ£ ππ§π€π«ππ£ππ, together with lawyers Aram van Bunge and Kelly Both from Ten Holter Noordam advocaten.
This ππππ£ππ£ πΏππ‘ππππ©ππ€π£ consisted of representatives who travel internationally to strengthen economic trade, environmental and cultural ties. In this case, the group included members of the ππππ£ππ£ π½ππ§ πΌπ¨π¨π€ππππ©ππ€π£ and the ππππ£ππ£ ππ£π©ππ§π£ππ©ππ€π£ππ‘ πΌπ§πππ©π§ππ©ππ€π£ πΎπ€πͺπ§π©, who updated us on the latest Chinese legislation and the many business opportunities arising from it.
Hainan is home to the ππππ£ππ£ ππ§ππ ππ§πππ ππ€π§π© (πππ), a major national initiative by πΎπππ£π aimed at transforming the island into an influential free trade hub. This makes Hainan a strategic region for international trade and investment.
In a session of approximately 2.5 hours, Michiel Suijker and Weimin Hansen-Feng (OHP), together with Aram van Bunge and Kelly Both, provided the delegation with further insight into:
β’ Resolving international commercial disputes.
β’ Integrating trade compliance and cross-border tax planning.
β’ The opportunities that closer cooperation between Hainan and Europe can offer in the future.
At OHP, we are excited to continue building the bridge between the Chinese and European legal and business communities.
