Through (hereafter: the website), personal data are being gathered and cookies are operated. Your privacy is of great importance to Otterspeer, Haasnoot & Partners (hereafter: OHP). Therefore we shall comply with the privacy regulations. This means that we do our utmost to ensure that your data are safe with us and that we use them correctly. This privacy and cookies statement is intended to explain how we do this, and which personal data we gather for what purposes. At the end of this statement you will find our contact details for related questions.

Personal data we obtain through our website, tax news bulletins

Through our website we gather certain data of yours, possibly including personal data. We store and use the personal data given by you only, in the context of the services requested by you (for example through the contact form), except where it is obvious that you want us to process your personal data. We shall not process your personal data for other purposes, with the possible exception of cases where you have given your permission in advance, or cases where we are permitted or legally obliged to do so based on the law or agreement. 

To render our services in an optimal way, it is necessary OHP stores your personal data in certain cases. OHP uses personal data for:

  • providing access to our website and its security;
  • contacting you if you request so;
  • performing our services, corresponding contracts and transactions;
  • sending newsletters if you have subscribed;
  • if necessary, for establishing the legal position of OHP, its relations or staff;
  • through using cookies, to use the functionalities on our website. 

Contact form

If you do not have any direct contact details of our firm or staff yet, you can submit questions or requests by way of the contact form on our website. You will be requested to complete your name, phone number and e-mail address. We store those details until we have contacted you and answered your question. 

Tax News Bulletins

To be able to send you our tax news bulletins or other messages we can process your name, gender and e-mail. We shall send you our newsletters only if you have provided us permission to do so. The data we process for this purpose will be stored by us until you unsubscribe for the newsletter.

We, OHP, offer a number of services: 

Tax advice services

Our services as tax advisers typically cover, but are not restricted to, the services mentioned on our website. Accordingly the data we receive from can be various. We process the data we receive from you only to execute our engagement with our clients, and we store them as long as they may be relevant for our activities (unless in cases where specific arrangements will have been agreed with you).

Tax returns for our clients

In those cases where we prepare your tax return we process (or rather: our professional software processes), amongst others, your NAR-details, contact details, salary details, company details, VAT-number, citizen service number and other financially relevant information. We do so in order to execute our engagement with our clients, and we store them as long as they may be relevant for our activities (unless in cases where specific arrangements will have been agreed with you).

Storage period

We do not store your personal data longer than necessary for the executing of the purposes mentioned in this privacy and cookie statement. 

Confidentiality & providing to third parties

We deal with your personal data in a confidential way. We do not provide third parties with the personal data that we gather for direct marketing purposes of that party. We only provide other companies or institutions (like the Tax Authority) with your personal data when it is necessary to execute the agreement, if we received your permission or if we are legally required to do so.

For the purpose of our services we co-operate with:

  • External ICT service providers;
  • The supplier of our administration tool and our administration office;
  • External advisors;
  • Marketing service providers;
  • The Tax Authority;
  • The Judiciary (Tax Courts);
  • The parties who provide cookies.

Where this is possible, we have concluded a processing agreement with these companies to make sure they deal with your data carefully.

In order to be in good service to you we use technical and functional cookies on our website. For more information we refer to our cookie notification on our website. 

Data protection

OHP insists on prudent safety procedures to protect the processed data, among others to prevent  access of unauthorized persons to your data. In that way we make sure that only the authorized persons have access to your data and that the access to your personal data is shielded. Therefore we use by all means a TLS-connection.

Links to websites of third parties

Our website may contain links to websites of others. This privacy and cookie statement does not apply to the websites of third parties that are connected by links to our website. We cannot be held responsible that third parties deal with your personal data in a careful or safe way. It is recommended that you read the privacy policy of those websites before using them.

Your legal rights

If you have questions or if you want to know what personal data we have about you, you can contact us any time. You can contact us by filling in the contact form, by sending an e-mail to or by calling us on 010 436 50 44 on Monday until Friday between 9.00 and 17.30.

Your rights are the following:

obtaining an explanation about the personal data we gather about you and what we are using it for;

insight in the precise personal data we have;

  • revise errors;
  • delete outdated personal data;
  • repeal permission;
  • object against certain use;
  • transferability of data.

Upon making such a request, it is recommended that you confirm your identity in such a way that mistakes can be excluded, so we can be sure we do not adjust or delete other’s data.

Amendments of this privacy and cookie statement

We preserve the right to adjust this privacy and cookie statement. Amendments will be published on our website. It is recommended to consult this statement regularly to be up to date about the amendments. 

Filing a complaint

By all means we are willingly to help you if you have a complaint about the procession of your personal data. Based on the privacy act you have the right to file a complaint at the Dutch DPA. Therefore you can contact the Dutch DPA (in Dutch: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
